Why it Matters
The Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund has been on the frontlines of gorilla conservation for nearly 60 years. Their mission is to save gorillas and the ecosystems they depend on through science and community-centered efforts—creating a healthier planet for all.
Thanks to their daily protection efforts, mountain gorillas have been pulled back from the brink of extinction. Since 2001, the Fossey Fund has also expanded its work to protect the critically endangered Grauer’s gorillas.
A Personal Connection
Our CEO, , has a deep personal connection to this mission. Having studied in Rwanda and experienced a gorilla trek firsthand, CJ’s passion for conservation is woven into the fabric of Gorilla Commerce. His journey inspired our commitment to support the Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund and amplify their work.

Meet Mutobo
In 2024, Gorilla Commerce proudly adopted a gorilla named Mutobo through the Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund. Exciting news: Nzeli, a 40-year-old gorilla who joined Mutobo’s group last year, just gave birth to her first infant. What a cutie!
